Police say a suspect serial rapist has been captured in Austria after his DNA was linked to two cases in California.
Ali Achekzai a 32 year old Afghan national, was arrested this week in Salzburg.
He is charged with raping two woman in Orange and San Diego Counties in 2004 and a third in 2002.
The Orange County District Attorney said that the DNA taken after Mr Achekzai was arrested in Austria last year was entered into an Interpol Database. The DNA matched evidence taken from the two rape crime scenes in California. Authorities are seeking his extradition to the US.
